Grow

BTC members are challenged to grow personally and spiritually by living in an intentional faith community.
Life in Community
First and second year corps members live together forming a community of support. Our first-year cohorts range from 6-8 teachers, and our entire St. Louis community ranges from 10-14 per year. The BTC teachers share responsibilities within the community such as cooking and daily chores. Each member has their own room. They all share common spaces such as the kitchen, family room, community space, chapel, laundry room and even a ping pong table.

The St. Louis community is housed in an old convent attached to an active parish ministry. The parish
community is incredibly welcoming and provides many opportunities for engagement.
Community Events have included:
A Cardinal’s game
A trip to the St. Louis Zoo
Brunch
Candle making
Game nights
Hanging out in Forest Park/Tower Grove Park

TEACH ME. by St. Ignatius of Loyola

Lord, teach me to be generous,
to serve you as you deserve,
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and not to look for any reward,
save that of knowing that I do your holy will.
