Grow
BTC teachers are challenged to grow personally and spiritually by living in an intentional faith community.
Life in Community
First and second year corps members live together forming a community of support. Our St. Louis cohorts range from 6-8 teachers, and our Springfield cohorts range from 3-4 each year. The BTC teachers share responsibilities within the community such as cooking and daily chores. Each member has their own room. They all share common spaces such as the kitchen, family room, community space, chapel, laundry room and even a ping pong table.
The St. Louis community is housed in an old convent attached to a thriving parish. The Springfield community is housed in a convent attached to an active convent and educational institution. Both communities are incredibly welcoming and provide many opportunities for engagement.
